Green View Lodges: Situated in the tiny village of Welton on the edge of England's Lake District National Park, Green View Lodges provide self-catering accommodation to a very high standard. All the vacation rentals are graded as 'Highly Commended' by the English Tourist Board, and therefore offer fine accommodation for a holiday in the Lake District.

The hamlet of Welton is situated in gentle, rolling farmland nine miles south of the historic Roman city of Carlisle (close to the Scottish Borders), and is an ideal base for exploring the beautiful English Lake District, with its waterfalls, exhilarating walks and steamer trips set in magnificent scenery. Hadrian's Wall and the Scottish Borders are both within easy reach, as are the lakes of Bassenthwaite, Derwent Water and Ullswater. The towns of Cockermouth, Keswick and Penrith are also within easy reach.

The area has every kind of outdoor pursuit from fell walking, pony trekking and golf, to clay pigeon shooting, sheepdog trials and traditional hound trailing. You can visit country shows and local events during the Summer and Autumn. The internationally famous Horse Driving Trials and Country Fair are also staged nearby at Lowther Castle, near Penrith, Cumbria.

The Accommodation: Green View Lodges comprises three pine lodges. Lodge 1 has two bedrooms, sleeping 4, where lodges 2 & 3 have three bedrooms and sleep 6/7. The bathrooms have bath and shower and heated towel rail, whilst the lounges all have digital colour TVs VCR's and DVD players. All of the units have gardens and are either double or triple glazed so a warm welcome is guaranteed. The accommodation is available all year round.
